The second season of the exciting music-based reality show, Coke Studio, is back from Saturday, 27 August at 6:05PM.

The new season will be jam-packed with 50 of the best local musicians, and is hosted by Trevor ‘Trey’ Sineke and Nandi Mngoma.

Coke Studio allows viewers into the creative space of some of South Africa’s most popular artists as they collaborate to create hit songs, from scratch. Artists from different genres are paired up and given two days to create brand-new tracks, fusing different music styles. The tracks are then put together by award-winning South African music producers and recorded in front of a live studio audience.

Each episode will feature two fusion tracks with artists from different music genres and will focus on the interaction between them as they write, mix and record a song – before performing it together.

“e.tv is pleased to partner with Coca-Cola again, on season 2 of Coke Studio. We strive to bring our audiences the best in local content and we know that they enjoy music shows. Coke Studio celebrates the creative sounds created by our top SA musicians,” says Marlon Davids, MD for e.tv Channels Division.

In the first episode, viewers can look forward to an interesting fusion of sounds from Riky Rick and Scales, produced by Sketchy Bongo.

Other acts to look forward to include: Jimmy Nevis, Morena Squire, Toya Delazy, Monark, Francois Van Coke, Fifi Cooper and many more. New artists are also given the opportunity to work with established names when Coke Studio introduces RAW talent.

Coke Studio will get your weekend started on the right note, when it kicks off on Saturday, 27 August at 6:05PM.
