The seventh season of SAGT started off with a bang! Here are our top three moments from the first episode. SA’s Got Talent, Sundays at 6:05PM.
Mzansi’s favourite talent show has finally hit your screens again with and with Jamie Bartlett as the new judge, Tol Ass Mo as the new host, SAGT surely did start off with a bang and some glitter!
These are our top 3 moments from the season premiere:
1. Oh Amanda!
The first contestant to hit the stage was Amanda from Brooklyn in the Western Cape who performed her own song. Fresh was more impressed with her laugh and even wondered whether she was just fulfilling a childhood dream. But she had Shado Twala and new judge Jamie Bartlett in stiches. She managed to laugh her way straight to the next round!
2. Let’s groove, baby
An old school band called Guru Logic were very confident – and rightfully so. Their performance of Church Girl got the judges and the audience on their feet. Shado said the music inspired her to do things that she’d never done before and DJ Fresh was confident that a record deal would come out of the performance. The group got three yeses and made it through to the next round.
Michael Jackson comes to life
The audience got the shock of their lives when it looked like the late great Michael Jackson himself was on stage. Eagon February has a very strong resemblance to the King of Pop and his performance backed it up! The judges were thoroughly impressed and agreed that February’s performance was outstanding.
What was your favourite moment?
With a bold new judge, a hilarious new host and very interesting contestants, it’s safe to say that this season of SA’s Got Talent is going to be lit!
