This week, in the penultimate episode of Coke Studio season 2, Cassper Nyovest and Diamond Platinumz gives you an all-star performance. Coke Studio, Saturdays at 6:05PM.
These two music giants have been meaning to work with each other, and for the very first time they are finally in studio together with producer Gemini Major. The group work together on the track as elements of hip hop, guitar notes, and piano keys are included and a new sound is made ready for them to record their vocals on.
The energy is high as Cassper's unique Motswako rap and Diamond's soulful Swahili verses give the track a spectacular touch of African flavour.
Then producer Denholm Harding is back in the Coke Studio with funk-rock band Nje from Durban and Limpopo hip hop artist Spacemunna.
Denholm gets down to it and lays a few notes on the guitar to get the main bassline going and that gets the team fired up to make something very special.
