Quinton slept with Thembeka, but not before Ruby caught them kissing. Is there a love triangle on the horizon?
Last weekScandal!got more intriguing when Thembeka kissed Quinton. No one saw that coming! We were even more stunned when the two slept together.
When Ruby caught her boyfriend Quinton snogging Thembeka he apologized and assured her it meant nothing. But when she didn’t seem too happy with his explanation, Quinton quickly reminded her that she also cheated on him with Mangi last year, therefore she has no right to be angry. She always claimed that ‘it just happened’. “Well this just happened too,” said Quinton.
He told her she need not worry about Thembeka. But before the end of the day he ended up sleeping with Thembeka! Even though the two admitted that it wasn’t a good idea to pursue a romantic relationship because they were friends – they just couldn’t keep their hands off each other.
Could this be the start of a love triangle? And what will this mean for poor Ruby?
A love triangle can be fun and exciting, but it’s also painful for everyone involved. It’s exciting because it’s risky. But it can be a very miserable time for the partner who ends up being neglected.
We take a look at the three people involved – Ruby, Quinton and Thembeka – and what led them to this point.
Quinton
He’s been dating Ruby for ages and he forgave her when she cheated on him with Mangi. We once thought he would never cheat on her. So what happened now? Could the death of his father be responsible for the sudden change in behaviour? Lying and cheating is very unbecoming of Quinton. Or maybe he’s just looking for something fresh and exciting? Only time will tell if he really is serious about Thembeka.
Ruby
She’s Quinton’s girlfriend and the love of his life. Or so we thought! She hurt Quinton once when she kissed his best friend, Mangi, in the lift. She said it was a mistake and he forgave her. Does she have the right to complain about Thembeka when she also did the same thing to Quinton?
Thembeka
Many might see her as a home-wrecker, but is it possible she might really like Quinton? Or is she just trying to get Quinton off her back after publishing Shakira’s article which demonised Cain. We all know Thembeka cannot to be trusted – she always looks out for number one. Plus she slept with Daniel before, who is now Quinton’s uncle! Should she find a man of her own or does she have a fighting chance with Quinton?
