Liz and Red butt heads over what to do now that Tom has fled, but she refocuses on finding Li. When Liz alerts Red to Li’s whereabouts, he shows up ahead of the FBI to confront the brothers as they are preparing for a move.
By the time Liz and Ressler arrive, Li is gone and the Pavloviches are on their way to apprehend Tom on orders from Red. Refusing to believe Ressler’s accusation that Red used the FBI to lead him to Li, Liz heads out to find him and get some answers.
Finding the Pavloviches and their new prisoner waiting for her at home, Liz presses Tom about his mission. But when Tom reveals the moment at which he knew he gained her confidence, Liz angrily breaks his thumb in an attempt to get him to talk.
