We’re halfway through the final season of our explosive local action drama so we thought you might need a refresher. Z’bondiwe Tuesdays, 9:30PM.
Can you believe we’re already halfway through the final season of Z’bondiwe?
Try to hold back the tears, we still have a few more episodes until the grande finale.
But a lot has happened already, and we thought you might need a crash refresher course before we head into the finale stage.
Watch the epic mid-season recap promo:
These are basically the highlights:
Roxanne caused Killer to crash the car
Killer kidnapped Roxanne again at the end of season 2. And the premiere of season 3 saw Killer driving into the sunset with Roxanne. But missy wasn’t having it and grabbed the steering wheel causing them to crash into the river before escaping and finding refuge with an elderly couple. Killer manages to survive too, and is now on the hunt to find Roxanne once more.
We discover Killer is not the real boss
Meet The LandLord, the real boss. And the man who Killer considers a father.
Dikki is a crime boss
This woman has become so good at being bad. She runs the tavern and a drug/prostitution ring that’s getting a lot of attention from the big guys. So much so, that The LandLord wants her taken out.
Lebo is back!
Well, kind of. His brother showed up out of nowhere and is in cahoots with the Sangoma who Lebo was working with. He not only has Lebo’s blood running through his veins, but he also has his dark soul and need for revenge and power. He’s a big threat to Dikki.
Jakes is out on parole
Medical parole, to be exact. He forced the good doctor to help him fake a heart condition which would afford him medical parole. So he’s back on the streets, by Dikki’s side to run the business.
Roxanne’s baby is kidnapped
And it’s not Killer, like she originally thought, but The LandLord who is holding the baby captive. But Killer doesn’t know yet.
Roxanne and Killer are working together
You read correctly. We’re as shocked as you are. But when Roxanne realises that Killer doesn’t have the baby, and he’s looking for the baby too, she decides to team up with him so that they can find their child together.
Shoo! So. Much. Drama. What flames does the final half of Z’bondiwe have in store for us?
We’ll just have to keep watching on Tuesdays at 9:30PM to find out. Catch a repeat on eExtra on Wednesdays at 9:30PM.
