Xolile Tshabalala joins Rhythm City

Award-winning actress, Xolile Tshabalala, will debut as Stella on Rhythm City tonight.

Xolile Tshabalala makes her debut as Stella on Rhythm City tonight. Her character is an ambitious, assertive and hard-working woman. Her main aspiration is to become a successful business woman.

Stella meets Miles and wants him to be as ambitious as she is. Stella wants to see Miles, who recently won back his company Redemption, become a bigger player in the industry. But what’s in it for her?

36-year-old Xolile is best known for her role as Julia Motene on the SABC1 soap Generations. Born in Vrede, Free State, Xolile’s passion for the arts dates back to her matric year where she began acting alongside veteran actress Thembi Mtshali. Xolile trained at South Africa’s National School of the Arts and later moved to the US where she studied directing at the New York Film Academy. While abroad, she landed a role in an episode of NCIS in which she played Sayda Zuri, a woman in search of her estranged husband.

On her return from the States, Xolile directed an episode in the popular series Intersexions and the drama 4Play: Sex Tips for Girls.
 
She’s also acted in Justice for All, Scoop Schoombie, Isidingo, Secret in my Bosom Fallen, Soul City and more recently, High Rollers.

Xolile’s work earned her awards which include the 2003 Duku Duku Viewer’s Choice award and the 2004 People Magazine Crystal Award for Best Soap Actress
