Greenleafwill premiere for the first time on South African television this Thursday, 21 June at 8:30PM only on e.tv.

Executive produced by Oprah Winfrey, the series follows the unscrupulous world of the Greenleaf family, with their scandalous secrets and lies, and their sprawling Memphis megachurch with predominantly African-American members.

The series' lead characters are Bishop James Greenleaf (Keith David) and Lady Mae Greenleaf (Lynn Whitfield), who are the patriarch and matriarch of the Greenleaf family. Their estranged daughter, Grace Greenleaf (Merle Dandridge), has returned home after 20 years following the mysterious death of her sister. Her return creates a whirlwind of drama for the family. Oprah Winfrey also plays the role of Mavis McCready, who is Lady Mae's sister and Grace's close confidant.

Greenleaf is exclusive to e.tv and South African audiences will see the show for the first time on the channel. Marlon Davids, MD of e.tv, commented "e.tv constantly strives to bring viewers new and highly-acclaimed shows from around the world. We are making Greenleaf available for the first time ever on our channel and we are confident they will enjoy it."

The channel's weekday international prime time series slot at 8:30PM is fast becoming the go-to destination for viewers who want award-winning premium international series.

Greenleaf will premiere on e.tv on Openview (Channel 104) and DStv (Channel 194) on Thursday, 21 June at 8:30PM.
