U2's “Ordinary love” from Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom was awarded the Best Original Song at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday evening.
The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards were held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in the US to honour the best in TV and film.
Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom was up for three awards - Best Original Song, Best Actor - Drama for Idris Elba, and Best Original Score for Alex Heffes.
Bono, vocalist of U2, said that the award is personal to them as the late former South African president Nelson Mandela turned their lives upside down, IBN Live reported.
This is U2's first Golden Globe win.
The awards were co-hosted for a second time by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
