Apart from Pharrell’s hat, this year’s ceremony was all too predictable.
The Internet is abuzz with complaints about the lackluster performances and outfits. Compared to previous years, this year’s awards were a bit of a let-down. Even (gasp!) Beyonce disappointed us.
The quirky robotic duo, Daft Punk, scored a double win - Album of the Year for Random Access Memories, and Record of the Year with the summer dance hit “Get Lucky” featuring Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers.
Lorde won a Grammy for Song of the Year with her breakout hit “Royals,” sharing the award with songwriter Joel Little.
Beyonce opened the show with a steamy performance of “Drunk in Love” with hubby Jay-Z.
Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, and Daft Punk were joined by very special guest (and no, we don’t mean Pharell’s hat) Stevie Wonder for the ultimate collaboration on the song “Get Lucky.”
Katy Perry dressed up as a witch for an eerie performance of “Dark Horse” while P!nk was suspended from the roof and showed off her superwoman strength during her performance of “Just Give Me A Reason.”
We recap more awesome Grammy moments!
