While you might not be slinging drugs or rolling the dice, and whether you’ll admit it or not, we’ve all done the hustle!  See how Mr. Hustler himself, Suffocate, does it on Rhythm City, Monday – Friday at 6.30PM. 

1. The haters gonna hate, but you always have a great one-liner prepared!

2. And nobody dares challenge you on your side hustle or else… 

3. You carry that R100 knockoff Louis Vuitton bag over your shoulder likes it’s the real deal.

4. You’ve shamelessly told the waiter at Spur it’s your birthday just to get a free ice-cream. (Don’t forget the sparkles)

Miles and Victoria’s relationship attracts unwanted media attention and Stella is back.

Miles takes Victoria out on a date and Stella sees them.  Gossip journalist, Thandi Dlamini interviews Victoria and Stella on their relationship with Miles.

Miles and Victoria later react to a nasty article detailing their relationship. A second press report on Miles’s private life comes out even more distorted than the first one.

Lucilla struggles to decide whether or not to take DH up on his offer to move to New York with him. Meanwhile, Stefanie is not at all pleased by DH extending the invitation to Lucilla. She tries to convince DH to go back to New York and leave Lucilla behind.
 
David goes to DH with a fabrication of who killed Ivan but DH informs him of his decisions to quit the investigation.
 
Lerato is determined on making her song a hit but is shocked to find out what Fats and the guys think of her. She manipulates Fats into letting her to perform at Kilowatt.

Bonnie Mbuli is the star of the gritty new crime drama,Traffic! starting 12 February on e.tv and eKasi+

Traffic! follows the story of detective Lungi Mlaba as she investigates the disappearance of young girls around Cape Town.

We visited the set in Ottery, Cape Town, and spoke to Bonnie about her character.

Actress Samkelo Ndlovu who plays Lerato on Rhythm City, lets us in on her character’s cunning ways.

Lerato’s determined to reach the top. She’s pulled out all the stops to make sure she’s the next best singer. This week, she recorded Shado’s song and used devious tactics to ensure her demo got played on 9-Nine.

Why the sudden interest to become a singer?

Lerato has always believed that she was born to be a star, not necessarily a singer. The opportunity to sing came along and she decided to grab it.

Tell us more about Lerato’s music?

Lerato doesn’t stick to just one type of genre. She experiments with a little bit of everything. Sometimes her sound is upbeat and at times a little more emotional and slow. With her sound Lerato is targeting anyone that can relate to her songs.
 
Why use Shado’s song without her permission?

Lerato struggled to get an original song off the ground. Shado is a good writer and artist, and she wanted the same for herself.

First it was Suffo, now Zondi, is sex the only tool to get ahead?

Lerato didn’t really plan on sleeping with Zondi. She convinced him to do what she wanted by promising to sleep with him. She’ll use all her resources to get what she wants. But if in the end sex is what it takes for her to succeed, she might just do it.

What happens if her music career doesn’t work out?

Lerato is not one to give up. If it doesn’t work, she will try again.

Will Lerato ever change her ways?

Lerato will do basically anything it takes to get what she wants, so changing is out of the question for now.

Traffic! is the hotly anticipated new investigative drama series starting on Wednesday, 12 February at 9:35PM.

We visited the set of the new crime drama in Ottery, Cape Town, and met with leading man Bongo Mbutuma who plays detective Songezo Sibanda. Songezo is detective Lungi Mlaba’s (Bonnie Mbuli) partner, and together the two investigates the disappearance of young girls around Cape Town.

Heleni Handt tells us more about the gripping new crime drama Traffic! starting on Wednesday, 12 February at 9:35PM.

Traffic! is an investigative drama/thriller following our central character, Detective Lungi Mtaba (Bonnie Mbuli) and her partner Detective Songezo Sibandawho (Bongo Mbutuma).  

In the course of a murder investigation, Detective Lungi finds her integrity put to the test. Despite being a brilliant cop, Lungi struggles to balance the demands of her home environment in the township with her working life in the suburbs.
