If you weren’t an audience member at the SA’s Got Talent theatre auditions this past weekend, then you missed out!
Contestants from Johannesburg performed for the judges for the first time at the UJ Arts Theatre. And while some performances were jaw dropping, others had us in tears with laughter.
Among the acts was a singer who believes that she’s just as talented as the legends Brenda Fassie, Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston, as well as a group of young guitarists with big dreams. Other interesting acts include a young woman who quit her job in marketing to pursue a music career as well as a maths and science teacher who thinks he could be the next great rapper.
Judges DJ Fresh, Shado Twala and Jamie Bartlett couldn’t contain their excitement about the talent – some of them even got a little emotional.
The vibrant audience members were not shy to voice their opinions on who should stay and who should go, often prompting the judges to buzz some of the contestants who were less than entertaining.
Now that the judges have seen talent from all over the country, the big question is: where is the next winner of SA’s Got Talentgoing to come from?
