It’s women versus men in the battle of Rhythm City’s Redemption.
Naomi and Lucilla, David and Miles - which team will be victorious?
The battle to retain Redemption open is heating up. Enemies have paired against each other to try and get their hands on Redemption, a recording company that has produced the late Rachel Phakathi, Joy Cele and the now CEO of Redemption Lucilla. This business will go under the hammer on the 24th of this month.
Who is the better team? We list their strengths, weaknesses and achievements.
Miles & David | Naomi & Lucilla |
Miles is a focused businessman whose business etiquette is applaudable. He brings in 35 years of experience in the recording industry plus he is the man responsible for building Redemption. | Lucilla brings with her both the practical and theoretical knowledge of the recording industry. Before working her way up to the CEO office, she was previously a singer signed to Redemption. |
David’s business acumen is impressive. He previously stole Redemption from Miles and managed to run it successfully. | Naomi’s business knowledge has often been interrupted with her scheming and her time off. If she spent less time scheming and more on the business, she could give her competitors a fair run. |
Miles is a hardworking man who commits to doing things by the book and his business ethics are clean. | Lucilla can be overzealous, but while she brings the passion, she doesn’t have much experience. |
David sometimes uses underhand tactics, caring only about the bottom line. | Naomi’s business sense isn’t always clean, either. She will do whatever is necessary to protect her interests. |
Mile’s weakness is his inability to react quickly to pressing matters. | Just like Miles, Lucilla is reactive and lacks the ability to foresee danger before it hits. |
David’s eye is always on the ball and he is more pro-active than reactive. | Naomi is equally talented in sussing issues before they become problematic. |
Miles has not always been able | Lucilla had an affair with her junior staffer, S’fiso. Can she separate business from pleasure? As a CEO she should lead by example and not let her emotions blind her business sense! |
David is assertive and won’t mind getting his hands dirty. | Naomi knows that in business there aren’t permanent friends. She’s feisty and will move mountains to protect her interest. She isn’t easily scared. |
Miles lacks assertiveness, he is more of a wimp. | Lucilla hasn’t found her feet to make her own decisions yet. She sometimes seeks approval from Miles or friends. How will she handle making big business decisions? |
Despite his troubles, David is like a cat with nine lives. Just when it seems like it’s the end, he signals some new beginnings. | Naomi’s isn’t one to let troubles keep her down. She is larger than life and no one stands in the way of her dreams. |
Miles produced the talented late singer Rachel Phakathi. He also managed to establish Redemption as a record of choice for upcoming artists. | Lucilla’s time at Redemption hasn’t been that successful, reducing the number of unearthed artists to one - Shado. |
Unlike Miles, David has had a couple of run ins with the law. | Naomi’s scheming has landed her in trouble. Both her and Lucilla were previously admitted to a psychiatric ward. |
