Euphonik joins Step Up Or Step Out Season 3

Founding member of the legendary South African Hip Hop group, Black Noise, Emile YX? is considered the Godfather of South African Hip Hop. He is well known for his work in previously disadvantages communities and outreach projects such as Heal the Hood. Emile YX? has hosted many prestige’s dance events including African Hip Hop Indaba, Battle of the Year and Shut Up Just Dance.

 

In 2011 Emile YZ?, in conjunction with Sprite, toured 45 schools, reaching 45000 young people, with Step Up Or Step OutSeason 1 runners up Immortal Style. 

 

Over the years he’s collaborated and shared the stage with many local and international artists like Robbie Jansen, Brenda Fassie, HHP, Black Thought of The Roots, Dead Prez, Snoop Dogg and Pharrel Williams to name a few. 

 

An actress, singer, dancer and business woman, Khabonina has performed in over 70 international shows and has travelled abroad extensively. 

 

Most recently, Khabonina starred as Maxine, in the M-Net drama, The Wild and is currently in studio recording her new album, Wax It.

 

Khabonina was also a judge on the SABC 3 deaf magazine TV show, Zwakala.

 

From Dubai to Sydney, Cape Town to Miami, London to Toronto and New York City to Johannesburg - Euphonik has played sets across the globe. He’s opened for some of the biggest names in the electro industry including Swedish House Mafia, Afrojack, Skrillex and Louie Vega.

 

Euphonik has been nominated for the South African Music Awards as well as the MetroFM Awards. He’s released four albums in the For The Love of House Series: Vol 1, Politics of Dance, Special Edition and Total Blackout; and has been featured extensively on electro and house compilations.

 

A Man passionate about investing in the next generation of DJs, Euphonic also hosts a highly successful annual workshop for aspiring DJs called DJ101.
