Love was definitely in the air in Rhythm City this year – from odd to hot hook-ups! We countdown our favourite couples of the year.
We saw a lot of odd couples on Rhythm City this year. People we never imagined to be compatible hooked up and took us completely by surprise
Miles and Victoria
Miles and Victoria are having some awkward chemistry. For years Victoria has been the Vilakazi helper and Miles has always had a soft spot for her. They recently kissed and it changed something between them and Miles seems jealous that Freddie is taking a liking to Victoria.
Lucilla and S’fiso
Lucilla’s loneliness drove her into the arms of Sfiso, a younger man and former street kid who Miles helped out. What started as just a passing interest, ended with them sleeping together behind Miles’ back. This shocking hook-up ended after they realised it just wasn’t a wise decision.
David and Dr Ongers
While incarcerated, David managed to seduce the prison doctor. Dr Ongers and David’s hook-up was all about the benefits. David needed the good doctor to help him execute his plan of becoming the BK leader.
Jabu and Mampho
This one is probably the most important hook-up of the year. Sugar daddy Jabu pursued innocent Mampho by spoiling her with expensive gifts. Mampho, a virgin, had sex with Jabu and then discovered that she’s been infected with HIV. Jabu believes he can’t be HIV-positive because he only sleeps with virgins.
Suffocate and Lerato
Lerato seduced Suffo, her boss, hoping to secure her job. Lerato and Suffocates fling didn’t last long though. Suffocate had enough on his plate to keep him away from Lerato.
Puleng and Mangaliso
Puleng hooked up with her traditional healer Mangaliso, but both her mom and the ancestors were against it. Despite Puleng wanting to leave her business to become Mangaliso’s assistant, this star-crossed lovers had to part ways when Mangaliso fell ill.
