Reneilwe VS Mampho: Who Would You Vote For?

$

The SRC Election battle is heating up and even has the best friends feuding! Whose side are you on?

In a sudden, unexpected turn of events, Reneilwe is also running against Mampho and Amo in the SRC elections.

Rene pushed a hesitant Mampho into going head-to-head with the most popular girl in school, Amo, only to turn around and run for SRC president herself. Harsh!

So now the big question is, who would you actually vote for?

Let’s weigh up the options.

#TeamMampho

  • Good natured, kind and hopelessly honest all the time.

  • She knows about politics, general knowledge, and current affairs.

  • But she is sometimes too gullible and people can easily mislead her.

#TeamReneilwe

  • She’s unshakably ambitious and will do anything to get ahead.

  • She’s independent and self-reliant.

  • She doesn’t know much about current affairs or politics and her leadership skills are questionable.

So, who would you actually vote for? Mampho can be trusted but is gullible, Rene is street smart and ambitious but not as trustworthy.

Is Dintle Safe?

$

Everyone knows if you cross a pimp you’re deadmeat. Here’s what we think might be in store for Dintle for blabbing to the cops.

Dintle and Gontse narrowly escaped the world of drugs and prostitution. Dintle, who could not forgive herself for putting her friend in this predicament, engineered Gontse’s escape by causing a distraction during the party. Gontse then quickly reported the incident to Kila and Ndumiso, who called the police. In the end Dintle was also rescued.

But Bongani is pissed off. Not only did Dintle ruin his business by calling the cops but his biggest client Mr X didn’t get the girl he was promised. Gontse escaped before Mr X could have her. Bongani is hell-bent on making Dintle pay for what he did to him.

Here’s what we think he’ll do to her.

Dintle’s bill at The Newtownian

After the stunt Dintle pulled, Bongani is definitely not going to settle her bill at The Newtownian just to punish her. Remember the bill was in Dintle’s name and not Bongani’s. Layla brought it to her several times asking her to settle it. And now that Layla knows that she was being prostituted, she’s not pleased and might still demand she repay the bill somehow.

He might become violent

It’s a well known fact that pimps often threaten, brutalize and rape women who cross them especially if their business suffers as a result of their actions. Gontse and Dintle cost Bongani his precious client Mr X. He’s not going to let that go. He will hunt them down and make them pay for ruining his business. Who knows what he'll do when he finds them. After all, he was looking to cash in during the party and that didn’t happen because of them.

Her word against his

Most of the claims that Dintle makes about Bongani cannot be proven. It’s her word against his. Until there is concrete evidence that Bongani is prostituting young women there’s nothing that the police can do about it. This means he will still be free to do the same thing to other unsuspecting girls. Even worse is he could still force Dintle to pay off her debt by continuing to sleep with other men.
