Lerumo arrested Thembeka and she’s set to spend two nights in jail. Scandal!, weekdays at 7:30PM.
Last night, Audrey gave the police more incriminating evidence against Thembeka in the form of a message on the sim card of her old phone.
The real fireworks began when Lerumo and Javas arrived at NFH with a warrant for Thembeka’s arrest. Thembeka tried to resist, but Javas cuffed her in front of her colleagues. Lerumo told Quinton they were taking Thembeka to Newtown police station after which they dragged her out kicking and screaming.
Upon arrival at the police station, Thembeka demanded that her lawyer, Arrod, ensures that she doesn’t spend the night in a cell, but Arrod pointed out that it was after 5PM which meant the courts were closed. Unfortunately for Thembeka, Arrod also pointed out that the following day is a public holiday, meaning Thembeka would probably spend two nights in jail. Thembeka was not coping well at all.

Soweto's crime kingpin Bra Jay is on the verge of closing a massive diamond deal when his only daughter, Nandi, is kidnapped. The Alliance, Wednesdays at 9:30PM.
The Alliance depicts the life of popular kingpin Bra Jay, also known as the Reserve Bank Governor of Soweto. Bra Jay has a thirst for power and rules over those around him with an iron fist.
Tonight Bra Jay’s only daughter, Nandi, celebrates her 21st birthday. And Bra Jay made sure to invite Soweto’s finest, including his cronies. But in the meantime he’s also making sure nothing interferes with his diamond heist.
Meanwhile detective Lydia is onto Bra Jay and his cronies, Frank and Sis Dee. Together with her team of investigators they try to find out who is who in the zoo of The Alliance and what their game is.
But then Nandi gets kidnapped! Will Bra Jay find his daughter and the men responsible?

Dintle couldn’t contain herself when Mangi gave her a scandalous newspaper for their anniversary. Scandal!, weekdays at 7:30PM
Dintle is an unapologetic gold digger who loves fancy things. So when Mangi arrived with a bouquet of flowers for their first anniversary she didn’t hesitate to ask him whether he got her something shiny too. However, Dintle’s spirits were dampened when Mangi said Hector’s PA told him that the specific gift for a first anniversary is paper. Mangi then handed Dintle a newspaper and her spirits were instantly lifted when she saw the front page cover reporting that Thembeka has been arrested for murder.

The Book of Negroes is a series that explores the journey of Aminata Diallo, a young girl abducted from her village in West Africa and sold into slavery.
The Book of Negroes premieres on Monday, 2 May at 8:30PM.
The series is based on a novel of the same name by Canadian novelist Lawrence Hill. It gets its name from a historical document, TheBook of Negroes, which recorded the names of all slaves in order for them to qualify for freedom.
In 1750, 11-year old Aminata Diallo (played by Aunjanue Ellis) is abducted from her West-African village, placed in shackles and sent across the ocean to be sold into slavery. She survives the extreme hardship of her situation by using midwifery skills learned at her mother’s side and by drawing on the strength of character she inherited from her parents.
The series focuses on key issues that affected black people in the 18th century, such as slavery, identity and literacy. The heartbeat of the series is Aminata’s tireless and fearless quest to be free.
Filmed in South Africa and Canada, The Book of Negroes features a brilliant local and international cast, including Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr. and some of South Africa’s most remarkable actors, like Thishiwe Ziqubu, Atandwa Kani, Jerry Mofokeng, Nondumiso Tembe, Andile Gumbi, Aubrey Poo and Fana Mokoena.

Quinton no longer believes Thembeka is innocent and in light of the murder charge, he suspended her from work. Scandal!, weekdays at 7:30PM
After spending two nights behind bars, Thembeka was finally released on bail. Her lawyer, Arrod, gave her renewed hope that the charges against her could be squashed. However, things were different when she came face to face with Quinton who failed to visit her when she was locked up.
Thembeka asked Quinton whether he still believes she’s innocent, but Quinton made it clear that the fact she was charged for murder has changed everything. It was clear that Quinton’s faith in Thembeka has wavered, but Thembeka asked him to give her the benefit of a doubt. Quinton also added that he had to suspend Thembeka from work because he doesn’t want her situation to ruin the credibility of NFH.

Selo hits the bottle after being robbed of his gambling winnings. Nkonzo releases Buzwe from jail and is reinstated to the force. Buzwe takes Tsietsi's case and Selo appoints a new mortician.
Tuesday
The Biyela's admit to vandalising Monwabisi's grave and demand payment. Mpho and Tsietsi fix the grave secretly and Reba finds out that Buzwe is representing Tsietsi.

Wednesday
Tsietsi is desperate to make money so that they can pay Buzwe. Nokulunga puts her life at great risk. Selo feels dethroned in his own company when the staff obey Reba's orders and ideas instead of his. Mandlakazi wants to play matchmaker between Reba and Buzwe.
Thursday
Mandlakazi is vindicated when she sees Monwabisi outside the window holding his heart. Tsietsi and Mpho go on a date. Reba gives Buzwe an ultimatum. Damian learns that Violet has been evicted from her Dainfern apartment.
Friday
The Namanes lose the military contract. Mandlakazi is getting desperate, sensing Monwabisi's unsettled spirit. Violet and Damian decide to move in together but it quickly proves a challenge. Tsietsi is shocked when he realises who kidnapped him.

Layla made a huge discovery when she walked in on Vermeulen meeting with Hector. Scandal!, weekdays at 7:30PM
Vermeulen met up with Hector to report back on his findings regarding Lucas Nyathi. He told Hector that he has more recordings of Layla McKenzie visiting Lucas and that Lucas seems to have formed a bond with Grace Medupe’s son, Romeo.
Layla walked in just as Vermeulen was showing Hector pictures of his findings and Layla overheard Vermeulen admit that he was watching Lucas. Layla slowly backed out of the room without being noticed while Hector figured out that Lucas was trying to win favour with Grace.

Thembeka has been charged with murder and will make her first court appearance on Tuesday, 10 May 2016. Scandal!, weekdays at 7:30PM
Thembeka is adamant that she’s innocent of the murder of Vuyo Mabutya and will do anything to prove it. Her trickery to deceive all those around her has always been her greatest asset and she has always managed to stay on the right side of the law because of it. But the evidence keeps piling up against her though, and she was even arrested by Lerumo at NFH in front of Quinton and all her colleagues.
Thembeka's lawyer, Arrod, is confident that they will win the case, but the state has a secret weapon up their sleeve in the form of Audrey. Audrey's evidence is substantial and could be the downfall of Thembeka.
