Mapula is living the life she deserves
After years of struggle, Mapula’s life has finally improved. Rhythm City, weekdays at 7PM.
Just a few months ago, Mapula was living in a shack and struggling to take care of her younger siblings. But now that she’s been adopted by the Ngcobo family, she’s finally living the life that every child deserves.
Here’s how her life’s changed.
1.She doesn’t have to worry about food any more.
We wanted to cry every time Mapula sacrificed her meals to feed her younger siblings, now she no longer has to worry food.
2.She can focus on her school work
Taking care of children is hard – even for adults, so watching Mapula trying to raise her siblings while attending school was heart breaking. Now that they’ve been adopted, Mapula has more than enough time to do her school work.
3.She gets pocket money
Yaaay! This has to be the best perk ever, and we’re so happy that Mapula finally gets to enjoy it.
Hopefully, Mapula’s life stays this good. We can’t bear to watch her suffer any more.

Mangi is not #DintlesBabyDaddy
The paternity test reveals Mangi is not the father of Dintle’s daughter. Scandal! weekdays at 7:30PM.
Poor Mangi! Looking all stressful, he receives a phone call from the nurse he bribed to escalate the paternity results process. Sounding grateful, the sister thanks Mangi for the EFT. She then tells him she has received the results.
Mangi starts sweating and repeats what the nurse has just said. The nurse breaks the bad news, saying the results have confirmed he isn’t the father of the baby.
Shattered, Mangi drops the phone and leaves the office. He gets to the hospital where an excited Dintle tells the baby that “daddy is here.” Tjoo!
Without beating around the bush, Mangi tells Dintle that the baby is not his. Typical of her, she acts confused and asks what Mangi means.
Now that Mangi knows the truth, what will he do to Dintle?

Bash is living a nightmare
Nox has successfully framed Bash for the death of her husband. Rhythm City, weekdays at 7PM.
Poor Bash, he thought he was just rekindling an old flame, little did he know that she had a sinister agenda. One minute, Bash was being called into his apartment to help Nox and the next he’s alone with Dan’s dead body on the floor.

Bash wasn’t the one who killed Dan, but all the evidence points to the contrary. He was having an affair with Dan’s wife, he recently bought a gun and the shooting took place at his apartment.

#TheBlacklist: Red is kidnapped
After Red is kidnapped, Liz’s search reveals the existence of a mole who threatens to bring down the task force. The Blacklist, Wednesdays at 8:30PM.
Liz and Aram are taken captive after disabling the assault team’s communications scrambler. Red forces Ressler to open the doors to the black site’s secure core and surrenders.
Meanwhile, Liz manages to escape and Garrick removes the tracking chip from Red’s neck and throws the FBI off his trail. He then takes Red to a safe house to be tortured.
Liz convinces Aram to help find Red. This leads her to an evidence which proves there’s a mole operating inside the FBI.
Back at the safe house, Red comes face to face with Crowley, his former employer and the man who hired Garrick to carry out the daring kidnapping.

Ndu loves Phindi more than Gontse
Say what? Ndu tells his mistress that he loves her more than his wife.Scandal! weekdays at 7:30PM.
Ndu and Phindi’s relationship has been shaky for some time now. It all started when Ndu got jealous that Phindi went on a date with Javas. So now, he goes to her house to mend things.
Phindi is not happy to see Ndumiso, but she accepts his apology, tells him to go back home and shuts her door. Ndumiso begs her to let him in and she eventually does.
Ndu tells Phindile he doesn’t see a future without her in his life and proceeds to say he can’t function without her. “I love you, Phindi. I’ve never felt this before,” he confesses.
When Phindi asks what about Gontse, Ndu says he loves her too. He continues and tells Phindi that she makes him feel alive and unlike Gontse, she makes him happy. Tjoo!

Niki plans to prove Bash’s innocence
Her brother is in jail for a crime he didn’t commit and she plans to do something about it. Rhythm City, weekdays at 7PM.
Niki was among the first people who warned Bash about Nox. She told him that Nox would bring nothing but trouble for him. Now, Bash wishes he had listened to his sister because the girl he loves has framed him for murder.
Niki knows that Bash didn’t kill Dan and she plans to prove it to the police. And Toolkit says he’ll do anything to help her.

Meanwhile, Nox tells the police that Bash was stalking her. She shows them pictures of her bruised body and tells them that that Bash physically abused her.

Nomsa Nene is on e.tv’s new drama series!
The veteran actress who hosted the Zama Zama game show in the 90s is back on screen with an exciting new TV role.
Nomsa is part of the star studded cast in our brand new drama series, Broken Vows. The show which will be on screens from April 10th 2017, follows a family who runs a successful wedding business. Nomsa takes on the role of Lydia, one of the people who started the business.
“I took a break from acting because I needed to focus on other spheres of my life,” says Nomsa. “I’ve been running my property company for years but my soul was missing acting. I was born an actor and I will die an actor.”
Speaking on her role on Broken Vows, Nomsa says it’s going to be a challenge.
“Lydia is an alcoholic who is hard, bitter and selfish. She used to be a beauty queen who had it all, but things went bad for her when she got depressed and started doping.”
Nomsa believes her fans will be very surprised to see her back on screen. She was involved in a car accident that left her in a critical condition back in 2004.
“A lot of people thought I had died,” she says with a laugh. “But I’m still here and they can see more of me on Broken Vows.”

Quinton wants to do a DNA test
Q wants scientific proof that Dintle’s baby is his. Scandal! Weekdays at 7:30PM.
After finding out Mangi knows her baby is not his, Dintle makes the next move and calls Quinton. She forcefully asks him to come and see “his baby.”
If Quinton doesn’t want to see the baby or take responsibility, Dintle threatens to tell Mangi who the real father of the baby is. Of course, Quinton doesn’t want Mangi to find out. So he agrees to see Dintle and the baby.
When Quinton arrives at Dintle’s, they throw a few harsh words at each other. Quinton doesn’t trust that the baby is his. All he wants is a scientific proof. Dintle hands him a string of the baby’s hair. But before they even get the results, she wants him to support them financially.

Nox did such a good job of framing Bash that almost everyone believes he did it. That’s except for his sister Niki and Reneilwe. They are probably the only people who believe that Bash is innocent and they’re teaming up to help him.

[New Series] Broken Vows
Mark your diaries fam! We’re getting a brand new drama series called Broken Vows on Monday, 10 April at 8PM.
Here are the details:
Broken Vows is set against the backdrop of a family-owned wedding planning company, ‘Yours Truly Wedding Concepts’ based in Midrand. The company was founded by well-known businesswoman and Moswane family matriarch, Mam Gertrude, and is run by her youngest daughter Azania and adopted daughter Thandi.
The dynamic duo are renowned for turning couples’ romantic dreams of their big day into a spectacular reality. They’ve mastered the art of dealing with bridezillas, the monster mothers in law, demanding family members - and even brides who get cold feet at the steps to the altar.
The show explores the various dynamics of love, family feuds, insatiable lusts and deep, dark secrets of the Moswane family. Viewers can look forward to gripping storylines with a lot of twists and turns when Gertrude’s estranged husband returns with a secret that could change everything for this close-knit family and threatens the future of the company.
“We have no doubt that viewers will be glued to their screens,” says Marlon Davids, e.tv Managing Director. “Some of the country’s best actors have signed up to be part of this exciting daily drama– and we know that audiences are going to love the characters they’re bringing to life on screen”.
The full cast list is still top secret for now, but we’re excited to hear that veteran actress Nomsa Nene has scored a role as one of the leading characters.
The drama is produced by Clive Morris Productions, who previously produced two seasons of SAFTA nominated telenovela Ashes to Ashes.
