This week on Rhythm City

Bash breaks down, Puleng finds out about Niki and Toolkit’s affair and Kwela threatens Reneilwe. Rhythm City, weekdays at 7PM.

Monday

Kwela threatens Reneilwe. Gumede and Sabelo continue to bond. Cuba tries to get Mthombo to commit to her. Puleng hires Cuba to work with her in the Shisa Nyama.

Tuesday

Puleng agrees to let Cuba stay on at the yard to help her. Sunay urges Rene to choose between her career and Bash. Nox is working hard on the insurance agent to speed up the payment. Emmanuel hurts Gumede.

Wednesday

Niki and Rene are on a quest to clear Bash’s name. Gumede and Sabelo’s small business continues to bring them closer. People start to take notice of Cuba’s enthusiastic interest in Kop’s wellbeing.

Thursday

Bash breaks down as the magnitude of Nox’s betrayal eats at him. Reneilwe’s tour is cancelled. Puleng finds out about Toolkit and Niki’s affair. Emmanuel and Gumede start to make in-roads in their relationship. Cuba makes her presence felt in Kop’s life.

Friday

Sabelo approaches his dodgy friends to get help with their business. Emmanuel can’t help feeling jealous of Sabelo’s relationship with Gumede. Kop tries to confront Cuba. Kwela sets conditions for Reneilwe. Nox tells K2 to plant Bash’s phone back in his flat. Suffocate is becoming increasingly suspicious of Niki.

After a heated argument with Nicholas, Marisol asks him to choose between her and his maid, Opal. Devious Maids, Mondays at 8:30PM. 

Last week, after going through Opal’s things, Marisol discovered that she had an affair with Dahlia, Nicholas’ dead wife. She then decided to confront Nicholas about it as soon as he returns from his trip.

Tonight, Marisol tells Nicholas she knows that Dahlia had an affair with Opal and wants to know why he didn’t tell her. She tells Nicholas that either he gets rid of Opal or she leaves!

Oscars 2017: Drama after ‘Best Picture’ mix-up

There was shock, chaos and confusion in the Dolby Theatre when the wrong film was announced as the big winner of the night at the 89th Academy Awards.

Last night, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway presented the award for Best Picture and unfortunately for them they read from the wrong envelope. (Oops!)

The duo mistakenly announced that La La Land won the Oscar for Best Picture. The La La Land team was already up on stage giving their acceptance speech, when they were stopped mid-way and an announcement was made that Moonlight was actually the real winner!

La La Land was the night’s overall winner, taking home six Oscars for Best Director, Best Actress, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score and Original Song.

The 16th annual Metro FM Music Awards took place in Durban this past Friday and they were dramatic to say the least.

1.There was a random naked woman on the red carpet.

2.Presenters were blinded by a bright light in front of the teleprompter.

3.Riky Rick spoke out against the music industry.

4.Nasty C won big and invited Mabala noise boss Reggie Nkabinde onto the stage.

5. Babes Wodumo was snubbed and won dololo awards on the night.

Apart from the drama celebs came out in droves and dazzled on the red carpet.

Boity and Lawrence were there.

Ntando looked like a dream.

We lost count of Somizi and Khanyi’s wardrobe changes.

Mangi wants to lay charges against Dintle

When Dintle refuses to pay back his money, he threatens to take the matter to the law.  Scandal! weekdays at 7:30PM.

Mangi and Dintle’s aunt recently found out that Dintle cheated Mangi on the lobola money. So, they go and confront Dintle in search of answers. At first Dintle denies it but when they tell her they’ve spoken with her uncles in Bloemfontein, she comes clean.

Mangi believes Dintle has stolen from him and wants his money back. But Dintle is convinced she deserved the money. When she refuses to back the money, Mangi threatens to lay charges against her. Dintle believes Mangi doesn’t have a case as there’s no evidence against her.

Should Mangi press charges against his wife?

Kwela threatens Reneilwe

Last week he was making a move on her - now he’s threatening to make her life a living misery. Rhythm City, weekdays at 7PM.

Reneilwe has been trying hard to stand up to Kwela, but she’s having a hard time. He wants her to do more work and stay away from Bash’s murder case, but she wants to support the man she loves.

She believes he’s innocent and is willing to do anything in her power to help him. Kwela is not having it. He tells Reneilwe to do as he says otherwise he’ll make her life a living misery.

Reneilwe is one of the few people who believe that Bash is innocent, it would be a big blow to him if he wasn’t getting any support from her.

Thembi is dead

The police discover Thembi’s body. Don’t miss the second last episode of Heist, Tuesday at 9:30PM.

Last week Thembi told Mark she’s planning on leaving town with their son, Thato, and her friend, Keith. But Mark was having none of it and during their heated argument, he choked Thembi to death! Tjo, we didn’t see this one coming.

Tonight, the police are trying to figure out who murdered Thembi. Was it Mark? Or Merci?

Back at the police station, the captain and Junior are trying to come to grips with all the murders that took place. They decide to build a case against Irvin and bring him down once and for all!

But can they get to him? Seeing that he knows people in high places like the police commissioner.

Meanwhile, Mark arrives at Merci’s house and tells her to pack her bags and disappear with him. He also tells her that he found the rest of the heist money. But after hearing this, Merci feels Mark betrayed her because he had the money all along.

She demands that she get her cut. Will Mark agree?

How Nox framed Bash

Love her or hate her, but you must admit, Nox did a pretty good job of framing Bash. Rhythm City, weekdays at 7PM.

Here’s how she made sure there was enough “evidence” to put an innocent man behind bars.

1. She put up a very good act
She made Bash believe that Dan was abusing her. That’s how she got Bash to buy a gun to protect her – the same gun that Nox’s brother would use to kill Dan and place in Bash’s hand while he was passed out.

2. When her initial plan didn’t work, she came up with a brilliant plan B
She tried to convince Bash to kill Dan himself, but when he couldn’t bring himself to do it, she didn’t give up. Instead she came up with a better plan.  

3. She made sure surveillance cameras caught all of Bash’s actions
One of the strongest pieces of evidence that Nox has against Bash is the video footage of him trying to break into her house. And they say the camera, never lies…

4. She made sure the crime took place in Bash’s apartment
This was the nail in Bash’s coffin. The fact that Dan was killed in his apartment automatically made him the first suspect. Nox made sure that there was so much more evidence against Bash that the police wouldn’t even think about investigating anybody else.

Bash’s biggest mistake was falling for Nox again, now he’s living his worst nightmare.

Will he get out of this?

A wedding & a death on #EmpireFinale!

Hakeem is set to marry the girl of his dreams, but a series of unfortunate events leads to Lucious tying the knot instead. Watch the Empire season 2 finale, Wednesday, 1 March at 9:30PM. 

Tjo! The drama does not end with this family.

Last week Frieda grabbed a policeman’s gun on the ASA red carpet and aimed to shoot Lucious, but Jamal jumped in front of the gun taking the bullet for his dad. 

This week we jump three weeks ahead. Jamal is out of hospital, Frieda is in prison and Hakeem’s planning a wedding.

But a brawl just before the bride walks down the aisle causes her to have second thoughts.

Meanwhile, Anika is subpoenaed to testify against Lucious - something they’ve been working very hard to prevent. And the only way to stop the court from forcing Anika to testify, is if she marries Lucious.

Cookie is horrified!

But the real drama happens right at the end; Anika and Rhonda get into a fight on the balcony. They both try and push each other down. Just as Andre tries to break it up, one of them falls.

Which one is it and will she survive the fall?
